Tiger eye gemstone earrings

Today, I will be making some earrings with tiger eye gemstones. The tiger eye will be the focal point so I have chosen a smaller black gemstone to compliment the earring.

Here is what you will need:

2 - Hook Ear Wires
2 - Open Eye Pins
4 - Metal Feathers
2 - 14 mm Tiger Eye beads
2 - 8 mm Onyx beads
2 - daisy spacer beads

Start by using pliers to open the open eye pin.

Attach a hook ear wire and close the eye.

Slide an onyx bead, a daisy spacer and a tiger eye bead on the straight end of the pin.

Bend the straight end of the wire to one side.

Take round nose pliers and round the straight end to create a bend as shown in the photo below. Try to form the round about halfway down the round nose pliers.

Trim some of the straight wire off. As a guide, try to trim the wire right above the bend by the bead.

Finish rounding off the second bend with the larger diameter of the round nose pliers.

Readjust the wire so that the end of the wire is in between the pliers.

Now twist to bend the wire into a complete circle.

The earring is now almost complete.

Open the ring by the tiger eye.

Add the two feathers and close the ring. Now you have an earring. Complete these steps again for the second earring and your pair is done.

Hope you enjoyed today's project!
